Energy Care Canada Home Services Inc. installs, replaces, repairs, and maintains air-source heat pumps. The equipment, the airflow, and the scope of work are confirmed on site before installation or repair begins.
Air-source installation and replacement
We install and replace air-source heat pumps for properties that can support the outdoor unit, the indoor equipment, and the electrical supply. The existing system is reviewed before a replacement is specified.
Cold-climate systems for Ontario winters
Cold-climate heat pumps are built to provide heat at lower outdoor temperatures than many older heat pumps. For an Ontario winter, the outdoor unit, the indoor equipment, and any backup heat are matched to the building. Equipment is not chosen from a temperature rating alone. The manufacturer’s published operating range and the property are reviewed during the assessment.
Repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance
When a heat pump will not heat, will not cool, or will not run a normal cycle, we diagnose the fault and complete the repairs the equipment supports. Maintenance covers the inspection and operating checks agreed for that visit.
Dual-fuel systems
A dual-fuel system pairs an electric air-source heat pump with a gas furnace. The heat pump provides heating and cooling when it is the source selected for those conditions. The furnace supplies heat when the system is set to use it. The changeover and the controls are confirmed for that installation.
Sizing, airflow, and ductwork
A heat pump is sized from the heating and cooling needs of the building. Airflow and the existing ducts are checked, because the duct system has to move the air the equipment is designed to deliver. If the ducts are not suitable, that finding is part of the assessment.
Homes and light-commercial buildings
This service covers houses and smaller commercial spaces where an air-source or dual-fuel heat pump fits the building and the electrical service. Larger buildings that heat and cool with water-loop heat pumps are a separate commercial HVAC visit.
